Pre-School

This is Reagan's new funny face. It just makes me laugh how she scrunches her little noise. She might look like a terror, but I promise that it's just the look!

This is just a sweet face. She melts my heart.

If you didn't know blue eyes are more sensitive to the sun. That is what Jake and Reagan tell me.

She gets so excited on our walks watching the bikers. I think it will be no time before she is asking for a bike.

Do you remember when you were severely sleep deprived? When you thought that getting 4 straight hours of sleep would be a good amount of sleep? Those were the days that you thought it was light years away, till your small baby would be in school. Well, this week we officially have entered the light years. I’m sure some of you are scratching your head wondering what I’m talking about, since my kid is not even 19 months old. Well, this week we have been checking out pre-schools. We’re looking into putting Reagan in pre-school, once a week for a few hours in the fall. I know this isn’t for everyone, but we think this would be good for her social skills along with development. It’s important for her to listen to someone other than Mom, or Dad. It’s also important for her to be around kids her own age and learn to share. Along with all the wonderful educational things she will learn away from home. I’m going to miss her terribly, but this will be good for both of us, I think. Plus we have to act on it because registration is this month for all the pre-schools for the fall. I know NUTS.

I think that I actually found the pre-school for Reagan also. We would love to send Reagan to an expensive Montessori pre-school, but we can’t swallow spending $1,500-2,000 a month for 3 hours. Were taking the second runner up, which is a fantastic church pre-school. I was instantly impressed with the fact that it was structured like a school, and not a day care. I have looked at so many pre-schools that are nothing more then a glorified day care. When we walked into the school I was welcomed by the principal, who was so warm and loving. She just glowed with warmth. I was very impressed with the schedule that all the kids age 2-4 get. I got to look into all the class rooms and talk with some of the teachers, and everyone was just lovely. I actually felt like I was in an elementary school, and not a pre-school. Reagan even loved the school and gave it two thumbs up. Now we just have to wait until March to actually find out if we got in.

I hope that you love all the pictures of my big girl!
