Week 20~

YIPPEE! I’m so excited to be at the end of week 20. I remember when week 20 seemed so far away and now it’s coming to a close. I’m half way done with being pregnant and that much closer to holding my little baby girl. I can’t wait to finally meet her, but due to the fact that she is our child I’m sure she will be late. I don’t care because I just want her to be healthy and happy. I’m also so happy that when we say our prayers at night that we can pray for her and not him/her. It’s makes it feel that much more real knowing what is growing inside of me.

So, this is what happened to us this week. Jake decided that on his 48 hours off that he is too bord and needs to do something else. He cracks me up because he works 48-60+ hours a week. He enrolled and registered to start taking classes for his masters starting in March. He also is planning on running a marathon in May. He is such a busy guy that I don’t know how he has time for everything. I guess we are a lot alike in terms of if you don’t feel like you’re going to have a meltdown from too much on your plate then you’re not doing things right. I also think that I might try to take 2 more of my master’s classes before the baby comes. I have WAY too much time on my hands.

This week we also got 2 very cute baby gifts. You can see the pictures below. They are absolutely adorable. The pink outfit is from Aunt Marsha and is so incredibly soft that I wish they had it in my size! Then we got a darling outfit from our friends Paul & Julia. It’s so exciting to start getting baby girl stuff. I can’t wait to finally meet her.

I also have been a little nervous because our little girl seems to not be moving much the last few days or so. I thought that it might be because she is kicking inward instead of outward, but I was still pretty concerned. I think that due to the fact that in the past I could rub around on my tummy and feel the hard spot that I figured was her, but I can’t seem to find that. I know that most moms out there are laughing. I decided to finally call my midwife, and let me just say she is amazing and I’m so happy that I switched to her. So, I phoned her on her mobile phone that she gave me. She answered the phone even though she is on vacation this week and told me she would send one of the other midwifes to come check the babies’ heartbeat. The midwife came out and told me not to worry because it sometimes takes her a bit to find the heartbeat. I could feel my nerves, just then. She searched around on my belly and what a surprise, but our little girl is still sleeping low in my pelvic probably on my bladder. Her heartbeat sounded good and strong and I have to say what a relief it was for me.

I finally worked this week again and let me say it felt great. I was nice to get out of the house and feel like I was doing something. It has been hard for me not working a bunch going to school full time and having no free time, like when we were in Hawaii. I guess I better enjoy it now before the little one comes and I have no free time again. We got some snow again on February 3rd, 2010. It was not much and by the afternoon the next day most of it had melted. That was when the heavy fog came in. Jake is busy finishing up his officer packet and I’m just busy getting larger. I ask him all the time if my legs looks like sausages or my butt is growing. I don’t think he would tell me the truth even if it was. He just says, “Nope, you just look like you have a prego belly.”

I guess that is about it for now. I’m posting this a bit early because tomorrow we have the painter coming to fix the water damage spots in the house. I figured I would get this up and posted sooner than later! If anything exciting happens in the next 2 days before week 20 is over with I will let you know. I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures! Jake is now the one taking them. What a great husband I have!

Some Belly Pics. Sorry about the lines on my tummy, but prego jeans leave some nice marks. It's not stretch marks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't get any~
