I have had a vast amount of time on my hands waiting for the time to pass. It has been nice to reflect back on the years that Jake and I have spent together. I can’t believe that on June 30th it will mark 8 years since Jake and I went on our first date together. It seems like we have been together for so much longer, but at the same time it seems like just yesterday, that we first started dating. When I think of my life can’t picture it without Jake in it. I guess that is the strange thing about time because it can speed by and at other times it seems to crawl along (during deployments and pregnancy). I can’t believe what kids that Jake and I were when we first started dating. I guess that is the amazing thing about us, we were so young when we first started dating, but were able to get through the challenges of life. I’m so thankful that I married such a wonderful man that is willing to not only put up with me, but also continually work on us. I think that one day when our daughter will ask us how we made our relationship work I will answer with, “Work and love.” When it comes to any relationship you’ll have ups and downs. During those times when it’s down remember to work hard because another up is just around the corner. I want to thank Jake for all the great memories you have been able to give me over the years. I love you more every day that passes and find myself continually falling more in love with you. I can’t wait to start the next chapter as being parents.
I hope that everyone gets a good laugh out of the pictures of us over the years. I have to say, that I think time has been on our side and I hope that it continues to be that way over the years.
