The Growing Middle!

I know that some people want to see my growing stomach. I don't really look pregnant, just fat. I feel like I look pregnant, but most people think I still look tiny. I guess the readers can be the judge! I have done really good and have only gained maybe 3lbs, but I’m sure my midwife will tell me to start gaining more weight at my appointment next week. I have added pictures from the week that we found out until now. I’m sorry about the lines on my side and tummy, but that is what you get when you have sweaters on. I think that most of the first trimester I was pretty bloated. I figured that since we are 2 days away from being 16 weeks pregnant that I better follow through and let everyone know how things are going. I will do my best to update the blog each week with pictures and updates of what we are doing. I think that this will help everyone keep up and feel part of this pregnancy while we live so far away.

I wake up every day and am amazed and blessed that we are going to be parents. I guess that it still feels a bit surreal. Jake is not sure that it will actually feel like we are having a baby until he or she is born. I’m so happy that it’s 2010 and that we get to find out what we are having in a few weeks as long as our little one is willing to let us see. So, if you have any ideas what we are having now is the time to tell us! I love hearing what people think. The truth is I have no idea or feeling to what we are having. When we first found out we were pregnant I was sure it was a boy, but that didn’t last long. I now seem to change my mind every day. I kept saying to the baby when went to bed to give me a clue to what you are a girl or boy. I don’t think I will ask the baby for a clue because the only thing I got was a dream that we had a kitten. I guess I will just accept that I have to wait to find out.

    It is so funny to read what you are thinking and feeling - it sounds like I am reading my own words! SOOOO happy for you. Pregnancy was wonderful for me and it sounds like you are enjoying it a lot too. You look 'just a little pregnant' but I am sure you feel much more than you look and that is how I felt. Everyone was so surprised when I told them how far along I was with both pregnancies - I carried small though Baylor wasn't small at all. Makes for easy moving around to not be lugging around a humungus belly. The weight I gained felt good to me even though I was worried at first if I'd ever loose it...but you do so dont worry at all - I am sure you are staying healthy and that is all you need to do - baby will tell you how much he/she needs.

    Oh Candice, your belly is adorable.. You can really see changes with the straight on pics! I loved being pregnant, and didn't have any of those symptoms in the books either.. Just like God made all of us different, each pregnancy is different too! Enjoy every minute of it, before you know you will have a sweet baby in your arms.. Love you ! Jen

    Yep! You're pregnant! I can tell, but it's slight now--soon everyone will be able to tell--here comes the fun part ;-)
