Jake and the dogs did survive without me, but only because our friend Bean came to visit for 2 weeks. The boys did have a great time visiting with each other and doing what it is boys do. Jake was very busy with going to work and being a tour guide. They went and saw some historical castles and showed Bean the local foods and beer. I think that he was surprised how good that English beer is. I’m sad that I missed the chance to see Bean, but I’m sure we can talk him into visiting again soon.
Now that we are both back in the UK things are getting back to normal. We went and saw Military Tattoo in Edinburgh Scotland. It was an amazing show, and I was very surprised how much that I enjoyed it. I normally am not someone that can sit around and just listen to bands music play for a long period of time (It was all musical instruments). Jake and I both enjoyed the show and even the little bit of rain didn’t make a difference. It was a wonderful background because it took place right outside of a castle that sat on a hill in the city. The most exciting thing that happens was on our way up to Scotland we witnessed a car accident. We were right behind this car that started to fish tail. The car then lost control at 60mph and hit a stone wall. There were giant stones flying all over the place. Then the car flipped a few times and landed on its side. I have to say that Jake was amazing because he pulled the couple out of the car. What can I say he really is my hero!
Jake is doing great at work and getting promoted on September 1st. He is also finished with his bachelor’s degree in the middle of September. He is looking forward to take some time off to not be doing school work. The funny thing is that he will be done with school for a while, and now I’m going back to school. I’m going back to school September 7th to work on my MBA. I’m very excited to be going back to school and so thankful that I got a grant that will pay for a few classes. I will worry about paying for the other classes later. What is new to come for us is that I’m going to start sub teaching again soon. I’m hoping to get lots and lots of hours this school year! Jake and I will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary in October and will be celebrating in Northern Scotland. We are very excited to be taking another trip soon. Then we have friends coming out to visit us over Christmas. We are thrilled to have Dallas and Sareh come out and explore some of Europe with us! I guess that is about all for now. I have added some pictures from my time back in Washington, Jake’s time with Bean, Military Tattoo and then the car accident we witnessed. I hope that everyone enjoys!
