Rome, Italy

Rome was the first city that we went to in Italy, and we were amazed. It was not like any other city that we had ever been to. Jake and I both will say that Rome was our favorite city. We went and saw all the local tourist spots such as the: Vatican, Piazza Navona, Victor Emmanuel Monument, Trevi Fountain, the place the Caesars was killed at and the Colosseum. I’m sure the list could go on all day. We walked tons and tons and that is part of the reason I think both of us don’t feel so bad for eating only pizza and pasta for days. We also had fun just people watching while we were in Rome. This was my first time to a country that the 1st language was not English. I have to say something about one photo because it just cracks me up. Jake and I stopped to rest after lunch one day by a fountain and a true Italian was socking up the sun and somehow ended up in our photo. It cracks me up and I hope it gives everyone else a laugh. Rome is an amazing city and not some place that you can just go to for a day. Rome was not built in a day and should not be visited in a day.
