Our Trip to Dublin Ireland!

Jake and I went over to Dublin Ireland for a few days to celebrate Jake’s Birthday! We had a great time. When we were picked up by the cab driver at the airport we were told that Dublin had more cabs then New York City! I was not sure if I believed him, but later that night the streets were lined with cabs all over the place. The first night that we got into Dublin the city had on a major Rugby and Boxing fight so it was impossible to get into ay pubs. The streets were lined with people. After we walked all over the city we decided to go back to our hotel and have a beer in their pub! The following day we went to the Guinness Brewery and Jameson Distillery. It was a great time at both places, but Jake and I walked about 15 miles that one day. My feet have never hurt so badly in one day! It was great to go into Guinness like all the other tourists do in Dublin. It was a giant brewery! Then we walked over to Jameson, which Jake was so excited about! He was even chosen to participate in a whisky tasting! Later that same night Jake and I walked all over the place trying to find the O’Brien pub that we had driven by on our way to the hotel. We could not leave Dublin without going into the O’Brien pub and having a few beers! The trip was overall great, and I hope that everyone likes the pictures! We will put more up again soon!

We were told that Dublin had more cabs then New York City. You can sort of see them lining the street.

This is just a cool building on the water!

This is for the O'Brien family! We walked around looking all over for this pub because we had to say we had a drink in your pub!

At the Jameson Distillery.

This is the bar at the Jameson Distillery that Jake thought was so cool!

I'm telling Jake that he can't have anymore Jameson, and he is a little upset about it!

Not sure how these got mixed in, but more pictures of the city. The cab driver told us that this building looks like the White House. I guess he has never seen the White House! He said it was the same designer.

This is a cool church!

One of the many AMAZING cathedrals that we saw.

This is an Irish Breakfast! I would not consider having it! Irish food is not very good. The breakfast doesn't taste how you think it might. They have black & white pudding, which is fried animal blood!

  1. Yeah, thanks for sharing your trip! How cold is it in the UK and Ireland now? Were you there for just the weekend and do you fly or go by boat? I heard their food isn't good also. Aaron would love the whiskey tours-he likes one of the McM-somethings. Thanks for visiting our bar, O'Briens!

  2. The UK has been between the 40's-50's right now. The weather was about the same in Ireland, but a bit colder (it's on the water) and very windy. We just flew over for the weekend to do a little sight seeing and celebrate Jake's Birthday. The food is so so bad. It makes me sick just thinking about it. Ya, Jake also loved the whiskey tour because he loves whiskey!
